Why health care quality is important to us.
Health care workers are short-staffed
Short staffing in healthcare facilities has a cascading effect, impacting the well-being of healthcare workers and compromising patient safety and satisfaction. The problems they face are preventable with adequate staffing 100% of the time.
Health care workers are overworked
Most healthcare workers skip their three 15 minute breaks in the 12 hours they work per day. They are frequently interrupted during their 30 minutes’ breaks. They rarely get out on time and are constantly attacked verbally and physically by patients and their families. Research shows that when a nurse works more than 12 hours, they become unsafe to all every time.
Health care workers are undervalued
Inadequate advocacy for healthcare workers' rights and fair compensation can contribute to their undervaluation. Without strong representation, it becomes challenging to negotiate for better working conditions and competitive salaries. Cost-cutting measures can lead to understaffing, low wages, and limited resources, which undervalue the contributions of healthcare workers. So what's the next step?
Carefully review our disclaimer
You can stay anonymous but the investigation that has your shift in it might require a call to you. We say go for it and document it all. You could save a life by holding the facility accountable.
File a Compliant
The paper trail we create whether it be: with the healthcare facility, sending letters to legislators, and all possible state agencies help us bring about change. They will hear us all. Filing these issues are a necessary part of our work that is changing healthcare and community safety forever. “Words go in the air, its putting them in black and white that make them count.”
